​​ADRIAAN LAUWERS​

Adriaan Lauwers (BE) is a professional musician, specialized in ancient plucked instruments. He acquired his skills and knowledge from Rolf Lislevand at the Conservatoire National Supérieur Musique et Danse de Lyon. In addition, he followed master classes with Hopkinson Smith, Paul O'Dette and Vincent Dumestre.

As a soloist and ensemble musician, he has performed in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Croatia, Italy, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands, appearing on stages such as BOZAR, AMUZ, MAFestival Brugge, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Musikfestspiele Potsdam, Tage Alter Musik Regensburg, and Theater an der Wien.

He has contributed to several recordings and regularly performs live broadcasts for radio, including for Klara, where he was selected as one of the Twintigers (NextGen). Reviving the image of the virtuoso, singing, improvising, and composing musician of the 17th century lies at the heart of his artistic practice, both as a solo performer and with his ensemble, Delta.

Beyond his passion for music, Adriaan has a deep love for languages and spaghetti. He enjoys cooking recipes by Ottolenghi, hiking along long-distance trails in nature, and gathering with friends.
